What does the writing say?
Could you put up a photo of the kettle connector so we can see how the pins are laid out?A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
are you sure its not a regular pc kettle lead with the top missing? are the sockets all at the same level or is the middle one above the left and right?
Its a dangerous looking lead as most cables do not have 240 mains exposed like that cable has, there should nearly always be a cover over the sockets.
What type of kettle is it used for?0 -
This is a normal "kettle" lead with the top missing, it's broken- do not use it. Throw it away.0

Its a power lead made by Volex, who have been about for many years. Unable to see the profile from the pic supplied, but you could check here for info ;

You just need to ask for a "hot condition" IEC lead. The difference is the slot.Dave0

I didn't realise there was a difference between the kettle leads used for PC's and the ones used for kettles, the leads for a kettle have a notch between live and neutral and is known as a IEC C15 Mains Rated UK Power lead.
The one for a PC is an IEC 13, this lead will not fit into a kettle but the proper kettle lead will fit into a pc. The main difference is that the lead for a kettle is rated to a higher temperature than the standard PC lead.
