Section 75 refund after card cancelled

Hi,

I purchased some goods from a company that went bankrupt this week back in December which have yet to be delivered. Great, claim under section 75 - however I cancelled the credit card last month as I no longer use it.

Before I approach the bank on Monday, would anyone know if I still would be covered as the purchase was made whilst I had a credit agreement?

Thanks

Further 'up' the forum there is a specific credit card area; I suggest you delete this and re-post your query there; they'll know more than I do.

Having said THAT you had a contract with them at the time you spent the money so I see no reason why they should not offer a refund. How you'll get it, though, I don't know! They could issue you with a cheque, I suppose.

You don't need a Section 75 claim for this. You need to contact your card issuer and ask them to action a dispute for non receipt of goods. You have up to 120 days from the date of the transaction to action a dispute, unless you have proof of a delivery date which would extend this timescale.
