Just want to say what a wonderful help Payplan were last night!
They went through the pros and cons of an IVA with me (i was thinking about doing one) and i've decided not to go ahead.
My next step is to start a DMP around the beginning of July which by then hopfully my creditors will agree to freeze the interest on my debts. My monthly payment will be £250 and I should be debt free in 5.5 years.
The reason i was steered away from the IVA is because Ted was certain my creditors would've rejected it because my dividend would have only been 52p in the £ where as my DMP would be 100% fully paid.
So i'm off now to cancel direct debits and write out cheques for token payments. My case officer will be riniging me next week to get things underway.
Hopefully i won't have to much trouble with my creditors, but if i receive anything threatening i should send them to my case officer.
My credit rating is trashed but i don't care! Why would i need more? It's what got me into trouble in the first place! So the next 5 and a bit years i will get my finance sorted!!
Phew, it's a good thing i've written this down, been wanting to tell people all day!!
Cheers
