Shower curtain

Hi all,
So last night I used my new shower for the 1 st time, lovely apart from the shower curtain blew in and was a right pain in. The bum lol.
Stuck to me and drove me mad, upon googling I see I should have bought a heavier weighted one!
I don't want to buy another so what could I use that I may have in the house??

get a second cheap shower curtain, you can get clear plastic ones and put it on the inside of your nice one, you won't be able to see it and it will be much heavier, and your nice one will be better protected from mould growth.

Try opening the hem up at the bottom and put some decorative pebbles or something similar to weight it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

When we had a shower curtain I always bought a cheapie smartprice type plain white one, less than a £, and put it on the same rings as the nice one, it protects it from all the soap, shampoo etc as well as adding weight!

What about those lead weights you can get for ordinary window curtains? Can you super-glue them if there's no hem, or otherwise sewing a hem onto it? Mind you, by the time you've done all that it might have been cheaper and quicker to buy a decent heavier curtain.

This is why proper shower-screens were invented, I expect.

I found that the dearer, heavier shower curtain I'd bought needed ironing to re-waterproof it and didn't really stay waterproof, getting darker and mouldy quite quickly. I changed to a cheaper one with cut outs at the top instead of needing rings attached each time. It also has magnets in the hem which makes it stick to our bath. Win, win! I'm really pleased with it and the dearer one hasn't been used since...
