Question about Facebook and Twitter

Hi guys.

Firstly I'm new so I just want to say thanks for all the competition posts, so incredibly helpful.

Secondly, this may sound like a stupid question, but.. I don't use Facebook or Twitter, so do you have to use your real name when entering competitions on those sites?

    twitter I believe you enter with your handle facebook should be in your own name anyway - why enter with a fake name? what if you won a cheque or had to prove ID?

    Facebook clamp down on people that try to cheat by not using their real name. It is ok to use a shortened version of your real name, so if for example, your name is Elizabeth, you would be ok to have your facebook as Liz, but you could not call yourself something totally different, such as Carol.
