I was really terrified of facing up to my debts and didn't have a very clear idea of how much I owed when I first called Step Change. I didn't feel able to open any letters from creditors etc without a bit of support and I was too embarrassed to tell any of my friends how much trouble I was in. The Step Change guy was very patient and non-judgemental. He was able to look at my credit file and tell me the amounts I owed. Now I'm in the process of setting up a DMP with Step Change and I feel much more positive about my situation.
  • I contacted Step Change last Wednesday and as of today my DMP has been set up :) They have been non-judgemental and patient when I asked 101 questions. And most of my creditors recommended them. Everyone has accepted my offers of payment! Very positive results. I can sleep for the first time in years.
