Seems as if lenders have your attitude well sussed then. Credit profiling of applicants is improving all the time. So there's fewer places to hide now. Days of easy credit are rapidly disappearing.

and what do mean by that ?? that i pay my debt off and the banks arnt making anymore money off me now ?? believe you me they have had a hell of alot of cash off me through intrest (no late payments etc)
so profiling in my eyes is way off , a single person no dependents house 80% paid for ft job good earning what more info are you wanting
joe bloggs down the st had a few late payments , odds are never had a default most likely to default soon as most prestent with defaulters learn there lesson not to do it again like myself

5 pay day loans? Says a lot to a lender. Statistically profiling is very accurate. As borrowers fall into distinct categories when it comes to attitude towards money. So identifying higher risk borrowers all comes down to human nature. Security seekers to risk takers, and the inbetweens.

So you have a good wage, not in debt so what happened last year with the pdl's ? That might well be a reason/contributing factor why you have been rejected.

I would guess its the payday loans that have caused your declines/high APR offers.

A payday loan is normally only taken out by people that have severe problems managing their finances, and many lenders will run a mile when they see one on your credit file IMO.

hi again all and thanks for the replies
yeah last year I took out a few payday loans imo there cheaper than going overdrawn at the bank or credit card charges .. as my wages was paying off other debt ..
anyway cut a long story short went to main dealers and a 0% offer was on brand new car (I know the intrest is already added on) so the new car ended up 23k
I told the sales rep about the default droping off in sept this year and he says "normally" the underwriter ignores it if its in the last year or so
I did put down 4k cash and 6k part ex so applied for 13k
took about 30 mins to get a decision which I was caking it knew it would come back as a big fat NO
it was like waiting for exam results ha
anyway I asked who it was through and it was Santander
and the application was accepted which you could knock me over with a feather I was eh you are kidding right lol
nope all paper work in his hand
so I don't know if its because theres a big deposit being paid and the bank can get there cash bk if it goes wrong , which this is now my only debt as ive now paid my balance off my creditcard and now thinking of closing my 8.5k card down as I don't need it now
so this loan is over 24 months and very very happy indeed

again thanks all this default was 1 massive lesson never ever fall behind on payments even if you pay the min
oh and I picked my new motor up yesterday vauxhall cascada its lush softtop

shaking my head getting knocked back at score of 900

Shake your head at using payday loans.

That's a negative factor on your credit profile.

The score means nothing other than to you and Experian.
