FCA is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

His BSc is just a degree - I think - not the professional qualification as such.

Have a look at your engagement letter/contract/terms and conditions -on that you there is often an internal procedure for problems which you may want to use first and you may be able to sort it quickly and efficiently that way. You know the sort of thing - 'if you aren't happy speak to XYZ'

I don't know if you have to have one - it's just I have one from mine so I assumed it was par for the course.

Try the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants for England & Wales)

Website is https://www.icaew.co.uk - may be able to assist you.

You should have an engagement letter outlining what advice you'll be getting and for what cost and he should have also performed mandatory anti-money laundering checks on you such as requesting copy of passport/driving license to prove you are who you say you are.

Failure to do this is reportable to the serious organised crime agency (soca) who deal with any reports where a financial services operative does not follow the law - so you may be able to attack the advbisor from that direction.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

As a general point anyone who is using an accountant or tax adviser and has not got an engagement letter should raise it with them immediately. It is a requirement of any professional institute, protects you, and deals with the very serious point on money laundering raised by JasonLVC. Its absence certainly would suggest someone whose work is otherwise not all it could be.
