Will my poor credit history.........

affect my husbands ability to get a car loan.
He has no debt. We share a mortgae and a joint current acount.
These are uptodate and no overdraft on the account.
I have a large credit card debt which I entered into a DMP with the providers nearly 3 years ago. I have maintained the agreed payments since then.
Thanks for your advice

As you are financially linked, your credit rating could have an impact on his. The best thing to do is check his credit rating and see what is on his file with Experian etc- you have to send them £2 to see your file.0

It will, but not sure by how much.
It will only be an issue if the loan company search financial associates and I don't know how standard that is.
We have a joint account as the only linking product and when I got my new phone a couple of years ago my wife's was searched as it showed up on checking her report.:beer:0 -
My OH has a CCJ, and we have joint accounts yet I was approved for a (large-ish) car loan at a great rate last week. I don't have any other debts - excluding mortgage - and I have a great personal credit history.
I went with my own bank, and I have a feeling they didn't even credit check me as I have a good history with them.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?
