Same sort of thing, minus knitted cover, is 50p at Dunelm Mill:

I got a load last year when Dunelm eventually knocked them down to 25p. They are reusable as John Lewis say but occasionally they don't soften again when put in boiling water and then need binning, so not sure I'd pay £3.75 for them.0 -

Thank you, I think these are great. The knitted covers do make all the difference. If the gel packs wear out (as suggested above) then they can be replaced. Ordered some to pick up from my local Waitrose to save on delivery.
By the way, also had a browse around other reduced gifts and came across this American-themed rubber duck reduced to £1 (from £5) - another stocking filler for next Xmas.
