If the amount of HB paid is irrelevant and it helps relieve pressure on the stock then I guess it doesn't matter.
It is cheaper to move the under-occupiers into private rented and move a larger family (who would otherwise be in private rented) into the vacated social housing, as that way round the govt pays (less) for a smaller private rented home.0 -
It's criminal to expect two people to work at minimum wage and struggle to bring up a small family, buy a home etc, whilst others can have children on the state and never work. People need a reality check. Anyone on more than minimum wage on benefits should do some sort of work for 40 hours a week. There's plenty needs doing.0
