    There is more i could do with the £100 today than i could with the other options later down the line, if it didnt matter and i had enough money i would take the £1000 10years later. but only if i had £1000 to spend today

    Ooops, I thought it was £400 at 4 years... That goes to show you should always double-check the terms and conditions!
