Am I a first time buyer?

I know it's a simple question but I'm really unsure. I had a mortgage with my ex-wife. She's now taken it over and I'm mortgage free. How will lenders look at me? I know it's not my 'first time' but I'm not re-mortgaging either. What am I? Help...!

Your a homebuyer?
Your not classed as a first time buyer. There may be the odd lender that will class you as a first time buyer if it was a long long time ago you were on the mortgage but strictly speaking anyone who has owned a property (mortgaged or not) will not be classed as a first time buyer.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. So under the 3 headings 'First Time Buyer', 'Moving Home', or 'Re-mortgaging' I'm 'Moving home'? Understood. Thank you!0
