Bumping- A possible solution

I have asked recently whether it is possible to filter out comps that have been ticked or crossed.
It seems to me that if this functunality is available then it would help when entering comps- only those that you haven't entered would be displayed, but it would also stop your comp lists from including comps that you have already entered from showing up as bumped.

This won't stop bumbing unnecessarily, but it will help those who don't want to see all the bumps!!

If this is a silly- billy idea- sorry.
If it is a good idea, then is there a way of getting it on this forum?

That would not work as comps I have ticked or crossed get bumped for valid reasons like found another route to enter I.E FB or Twitter, if I had filtered them out then I would miss out on the valuable info

I like the idea in principal but it wouldn't help with the comps which are on going and getting bumped with both useful and non useful posts.

It would be good when searching by end date to filter out those you have already looked at.

I think that means I'm voting yes and no...

I don't tick/cross ongoing comps so that I can see them when they get bumped - My comping eyes are specially trained to glide over and ignore ones that I've already marked :rotfl:

And your sixth sense stops you from looking at ones with only non helpful bumps?

I find it so much more fun not being able to spell or type quickly, I have found some really good friends through spelling mistakes & typo's :j

I didn't have one but from your tone you appear to have decided I have?

Mind you it depends on how you said it hard to tell when some one types something.

Yes to me it sounded like that, sorry if you weren't :kisses3: (Tried to find a hug smilie but couldn't see one, you can have a kiss instead :rotfl:)

I think I am a bit wound up by some of the posts on the other threads today - time for a cup of tea I think! :)

No worries it's the trouble with written as opposed to spoken language one misses the facial expressions and tone to know how something is meant to be taken . I did try using smilies but then sometimes people think you are laughing at them rather than making a light hearted response.

I'm not sure if we know each other well enough for kissing smilies... ;)
