I have been paying child since from 2000 without much problems, for 11 years they got their money on time every month.
In march of 2011 I was made redundant, I informed the csa of this by letter and my employer at the time also informed the csa that I had left the company.
Ive had a rough couple of years since, being homeless and staying at different friends houses, basically no where to live I was.
I contacted the csa last year august 2012 to say that im just managaing to sort myself out, ive been given an opportunity through a friend to rent somewhere.
My friend also has a very successful business and he kindly gave me the chance to try and earn a bit of money trying to selling sports supplements that he provided me with.
to cut a long story short, the csa continued to bill me at the same rate as when I was working, they claim that they did not recieve my letter notifying them I was no longer in employment, but they did get notification from my employer that I was no longer working and I was made redundant!
The arrears have now amounted to over £2000, My earnings right now stands at £150 per week, im behind with council tax and other bills etc. I am currently paying £20 per week which I am struggling to do at the moment but the csa are taking me to court saying that they want more money. after I pay my bills, im left with £50 im really badly struggling, ive sent the csa my earnings but they are now taking me to court wanting more money.... money that just is not there.
I sent the csa a letter last week asking them to take £5 per week from the £20 that i am paying and put that towards the arrears, they have refused.
They called me this morning asking me to give them information of what I will be saying in court when I attend next week.
Please if at all possible, can someone give me some advice.
Thank you kindly

Contact your MP (at their local office) and ask them to help you with the case. We had a problem with incorrect arrears a while back and the MP was a great help in making CSA take notice of our evidence.0

Let them take you to court. If you have no money and can prove it then they cannot win
