    Hi there
I think the limit on Social Fund Loans is now £1500

For Budgeting Loans, the minimum amount that
can be awarded is £100. Your maximum debt to
the Social Fund, including both Budgeting Loan
and Crisis Loan debt, cannot be more than
£1,500. Therefore, after deciding how much you
can have as a new Budgeting Loan, we may
then have to lower the amount we pay you in
order to keep your total debt within £1,500.

    Heres the link

Hi, I to would seriously recommend Freecycle. There is always offers of equipment on there and just the other day Isaw a dryer on offer in the Romford area. Obviously you would have to join your local freecycle group.

In the meantime I hang all my washing in upstairs doorways on clothes hangers, it dries quite quickly and doesn't need ironing. Tumble dryer used only in extreme emergencies!
