Secondment but contract not changed

Hi all,
I applied for an internal job starting May 2012 which was not advertised as a secondment and was successful; however when confirming I was successful and offering me the job it was verbally explained that this was a secondment for 1 year.
I have just checked the letter I received to confirm the changes to my contract and there is nothing stating the new role is a secondment. My job title has changed to Call Center Manager, salary etc has all been changed.
I have been informed today that the role will not be required as of May and the call center will be moving. I had to relocated 200 miles away from home for the secondment position without a relocation payment or support and the new role will be an additional 50 miles away so I would likely need to relocate again if I were to follow the call center.
Long shot I know but would I be eligible for redundancy payment as my contract does not state this was only a secondment position?
