Hi betty i cant see there being any problem with changing your name especially as you have been discharged for a while now ,as a discharged bankrupt you are no long under the restrictions anymore unless you had an IPA imposed .Official DFW NERD 189
I may be a woman but dont hold it against me:D

Hello Betty - to legally change your name (even back to your own name) - ie new passport, d licence etc etc you need to see a solicitor & arrange to do it by deed pole. You need to show the original document every time you contact one of the authorites. Its
very straightforward & you just need a witness to sign.

Not just deed poll actually. Little known fact; you can do a statutory declaration, which will cost £5 (no more) for a solicitor to witness. Changing your name by deed poll is very expensive. I have the forms if you're interested.BCSC Member 70:j
