Why wont anybody lend....desperate for advice

Rather than taking a loan and then paying back the capital plus interest for months on end, wouldn't it be better to save up and buy the stuff outright? That would reduce risk too as he's going from a salary to the income of a trainee electrician and, presumably self employed.I'm a qualified accountant but please make sure you get expert advice as any opinion is made in a private capacity.
