Moving

We are moving from Scotland back to the East Midlands starting the move tomorrow.

This is the first move we have made where I have not had to put any part of it on the credit card, so I am very proud of myself. Granted we will not have much dosh left, but its been done without incurring any more debt.:T:T:j:j

We still have a bank loan to repay, we can over pay which I will do once I have built up a bit of a safety net, of £2000 which is 3 months rent payments plus a bit over.

I have become very disciplined about direct debits for all our payments, drawing money for food and pocket money and shoving any money left over into a savings account, thats what I have used to fund the almost £3000 removal bill plus rent and deposit etc.:D

The freezers are empty, they will need filling but that will happen gradually. I am going to miss Aldi, our nearest store is 15 miles away. The nearby town has Tesco, which I hate. Morrisons and a new Sainsbury opening later this year. I am looking at a monthly trip to Aldi on the way home from visiting a friend who lives 20 miles away.

The credit card stays in a drawer.........I have not cut it up just in case, its a sort of safety net. If I use it I pay it off without incurring any interest each month.
