Chicken soup reheating

Just a quick question about chicken soup. We have been budgeting in our house and doing quite well with it, and tonight I am going to make some soup from a chicken carcass and drumstick left over from a roast on Sunday. I've made chicken soup before but usually for a family of 4 where quite a large quantity is made and all gets eaten. There are only two of us and the chicken has already been cooked once, and will be reheated when I make the soup, does this mean that the soup itself could not be reheated, because this would be the 3rd time the chicken had been reheated? Bit confused about the rules - any advice appreciated!

Once a ckicken has been thoroughly cooked- and if you make soup it will have been cooked twice- it should be perfectly fine to freeze what you don't use. We make up a big pan of sou and use Mr T's plastic pic-nic beakers to freeze what we have surplus. One beaker is enough for two portions (depending on how hungry you are) and usually goes from freezer to microwave quite happily!
hope this helps.0 -
