Cocoa Powder

I like to do a bit of baking, but was surprised at the cost of cocoa powder :eek: (£2.99 in Sainsburys for a tub of Bournville Cocoa powder). Where can I get this cheaper, doesn't matter what brand it is.

approvedfood.co.uk sell Rowntrees Cocoa 250g for £1.00 right now. But, of course, you should be aware of the postage.

ASDA & Tesco, own brand, 250g, £2.28. ASDA's is in a box, Tesco's in a tub.

It's good stuff too. I used to only use Monbana bean cocoa which was in the region of £17 per kilo, so was keen to give this a go when I spotted it. Also, you can freeze cocoa powder. If you dont think you'll use much at a time, bag it up into 100/200g portions in a ziploc and pop it in the freezer until you need it.

I use Tesco Value cocoa powder, which has the added bonus of being fat-reduced. It's gone up a bit since I last bought it but is still only £1.69 for 250g.
