Domestic cleaning firms (Belfast)

I'm looking to help a friend out with sorting her house out a bit as a birthday gift. She is not so much a hoarder, but buys a lot of 'tat' and it gets left laying about. On top of that the house is laying in rubbish from top to bottom and the bathroom and kitchen are rank.

It got that way through illness (and a fair bit of laziness) but reasons why aren't really relevant. I'm looking for any recommendations for a cleaning firm who could throw 3/4 people at her house for a day, cleaning around the generall stash of stuff she has. Don't want a full clearance as we would be happy to help car boot the stuff but its getting past the mess that is the problem.

Have contacted a few online that I found but I wasn't left convinced that they'd be quite as tactful and sympathetic about her situation. I'd rather pay the extra time for some people to be careful in what they are throwing out etc rather than binning everything.

Any recommendations welcome.

Would any friends/family /relative be willing to help? They might be more tactful in dealing with an obviously delicate situation than bringing in outsiders?

if it seems overwhelming try dealing with things in a flylady tactic, 15 minute bursts and so on Brilliant weekly thread over on the OS board if you want a nosey and none of us follow her to the letter ;)
I do my housework and clearing up this way and it helps, it honestly does! Believe me, I hate housework so it must be ok ;)

Would be a lot cheaper too if you could bribe/co-erce friends and family with afternoon tea, biccies etc ;) Most cleaning companies would be looking to charge approx £10 to £12 per person per hour and MAY charge extra for providing cleaning materials which could be bought at poundland and so on.

IMHO that would be a more personal way of dealing with the situation your friend has found herself in.

Hope you can help her out, it's a lovely gesture :)

Let me know how you get on :)

Thanks for that, I'll give it a read.

I've helped out a bit but work has been hectic lately and so very little has got done. Family and freinds are not close by but its maybe something I'll bring up with her. Ideally yes that would be perfect.
