sorry but how is your rent only £50 for the whole month- is this supposed to be per week??
why is the electricity so high per month??0 -
What about working from home through sites like Elance and Odesk?
Admittedly this would not provide as much social interaction as you might like but it may help in the short term.0 -
Hi everyone.
I'm sorry I've not updated for a while.
OH hours have really picked up and he's getting set days now. Although he had a job interview recently (for a job almost double the pay) which I *think* is looking promising. He's been called back for a drug/alcohol test whilst others he knows also applied n had interviews had just been informed they had been unsuccessful.
I've also got a part time 24 hour a week job
not the best pay in the world but its still an extra 600 a month. Also as soon as I found out that I'd got the job my mum offered to look after my son! (after previously saying no, but saving me the nursery costs).
My rent arrears are now down to just over 1000, electric arrears are still 1000, council tax is totally paid off!!!, credit cards are down to 1000, unpaid phone bills are now 200, water is around 250 now so although I have still got a long way to go, I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
Thank you everyone for all the advice. I also want people to realise that your situation CAN change for the better, you just need to keep trying.
I will keep you updated when I've paid off more debts
