Armed Forces Pension

Hi,
I just wondered if anyone could help really regarding armed forces pensions.
My partner left the army in 1998 after serving nearly 24 years. His pension is due to go up this year when he turns 55. How much should the expected rise in pension be? He commuted half of it. The other question is... he divorced his wife in 2001 and she was granted half of the pension at that time. Does this mean she will also get half of whatever it is increased by too, even though they have been seperated since 1997 and divorced for 12 years?
Any help would be much appreciated.
