I should add that a pressure cooker is a wonderful way off making sure cheaper meat stays juicy & tender & retains it's flavour too. I use mine for whole chickens, small joints of meat, gammon, cubed steak, pork steaks, chicken drumsticks & thighs. (I don't currently have an oven so can't roast).

I always fry chicken breast and mince as I find it needs the flavour you get from browning it in a pan, (I'm one of those people who hates "roast" chicken leftovers used in curries etc, I don't like the flavour or the texture of it in such dishes.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
I always buy fresh, i dont think frozen meat tastes the same but i have to say i prefer frozen mince in bolegneses. I find fresh tends to clump together in the pan. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

This is what I do, although for health, rather than taste/texture reasons.
As far as mince, I bought frozen mince once and wasn't impressed, but we only buy about 6-7 packs a year anyway. In theory, it should work, as you can cook you own mince from frozen if you want, it just takes ages. However, I'm not really impressed by it in practice. I suspect this is due to them freezing lower quality products.
In the long run, I think we'll all end up eating more frozen meats as it just makes sense to stock it in a form that stays fresh longer and results in less wastage. However, I do think the quality in some instances could use some serious improvement.0 -

ZipA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
