Amazon postage

Hi,

I took advantage of the sale on Amazon and bought £15 worth of books (for the free delivery :)). A day later I get an email telling me that some weren't in stock. Then, when Amazon posted the books, I am landed with a £6.30 delivery charge that at no point did I agree to pay.

Can Amazon legally do this? Is there not some stipulation somewhere that the recipient needs to agree to modifications in payment?

Thanks for any help,

Graham

I have heard people have had this refunded if they call up customer services but no experience myself.
  • Thanks firespire, I'll give that a go! :T

Amazon did this to me also on an order a while ago - use their 'contact us' system to send them an email regarding your order (use the order number in their system when you go through the contact pages) and email them to say how upset you are about it - I did and they immediately refunded me the postage charge. Good luck and don't give up until you get that money back!
  • Thanks MadMac, I did that yesterday and got the reply this morning - the refund has gone through. Just shows it is always worth a quick complaint ;)
