Hey guys,
I am a first time buyer and I am looking to buy my first property soon.
I understand that I need to have a credit report in order to see if I am eligible for a mortgage. I can see that it is free for 30 days, how many cards can I check on one account?
We will be using our Joint Account to pay back the mortgage but I am unsure what cards I should register. I have already had my card checked and the results are excellent - should I also check my wife's private card and then our joint account? Can all of this be done on one account or should I register multiple accounts?
I look forward to hearing from you! :money:

I have no idea what you are talking about. Have you been seduced by the idea the Credit Reference Agencies can somehow tell you if you'll be successful in applying for a mortgage?
They can't. The numbers they give you and call it a "credit score" are completely irrelevant to lenders.
If you wish to obtain copies of your credit file, you should ask all three CRAs for a copy of your statutory report only, by paying £2 and the links are as follows;-
Equifax

Experian

Lenders look at all kinds of data to determine who gets a mortgage. Deposit, employment history, credit history, even the time you've been with your bank and the completeness of your application can contribute.
There are a number of threads on here titled "999 and declined" as it is possible to have a 999 score from Experian and not be granted a mortgage, because some data lenders feel essential is not required by Credit Reference Agencies, such as if you have a job.I am a mortgage broker.
