Statement of Affairs and Debtors Petition Forns

These would not print properly from my comp to the photocopier so have come out as single sided prints instead of double sided had to have them printed at local library, will the court accept 29 odd single side printed pages or does it insist on double sided printed forms. Library wanted 50p per double copies per sheet can't afford that...

Also I do not have a recent dated( within last month) letter from DWP telling me of new rates of Income Support this is due any day but knowing my luck it won't be here by the 4th I have asked DWP for these but they said they were due out any day and I had to wait, I'm worried incase I don't have the right proof of DWP Benefits to show for exemption of court fees. Will pop into court tommorow and ask what's needed just to be on the safe side.

Also if they give me BR can they take £525 then the judge tells me no? This money is the last of my savings and made up from this weeks benefit payments and I cannot afford to lose this money as I will never ever be in a position to save that amount again....

I'm panicking, can't get to see anyone to check my forms, have tried CAP they said as I had made the decision to go BR most of the advice they could give me had already been given. CAB have no appointments till middle of May due to bieng overrun with folk panicking about Bedroom Tax and suddenly finding they have to contribute towards there CTax etc

I know my forms are ok. Have to have 3 copies, have my fees and form EX160 to claim fee remission, must knuckle down and get a grip this is really freaking me out its so simple on paper...ooh errr  will go get myself a cup of tea ....

It's fine single sided, mine were too. You will need a letter dated within the last month to claim the fee exemption though, delay the BR if it doesn't come in time. Of the people whose BR has not been processed as expected, they've not had money taken from them because the clerk became aware of a problem that needed sorting first.

Tbh I am not sure if that will do, my personal feeling is the HB and CT letters might be worked out using the last information they had from you (which might not be accurate) so they might need a DWP one which is up to date 100%. I went in to my local JCP and got upset because I needed such a form/letter as proof for court and they wrote me out a letter on headed paper on the spot, I'm fortunate that my local JCP is fairly rural and small and they care about people. I know the city branch has staff who are er less than helpful. But your best bet is to phone the court and ask them if they will accept that, I have my doubts though.

  • Hi PippaGirl

On checking with the court they said I certainly needed a letter of DWP that was within the last months date:eek::eek: but I could pay the fees and claim a remission of fees back, when asked how long would it take for the money to be paid back she said it depended how much money there was to pay back the fees and it wouldn't be straight away:eek:

So where do I find court fees from, got my small amount of jewellery out from under the mattress, took off my wedding and engagement rings, earrings and watch and went to the gold place and came out clutching £125 and together with this weeks JSA and shaking out the cushions on the couch and checking my handbag and coat pockets I've done it...just..that's my last last emergency money gone, I'm totally utterly skint, nada, nothing zilch....reality has hit home big time and I feel crap.

A small miracle might happen and the promised letter from DWP may turn up today, but I doubt it, I don't have that kind of luck.
I've meal planned for the rest of this week, to the point of counting out the bake beans individually:D I'm going BR on the 4th if it bloody kills me.
The electric and gas meters hopefully will last :D and my friend says that if needs be I can raid her food cupboard, you sure find out who your true friends are when your in a pickle:o

Ok am off to grab some sleep if I can, this feeling of doom and gloom won't shift..
