Former Protected Rights Pension

Hi there, could anyone tell me where I can get some free advice with regards to transferring a former protected rights pension worth about £12k currently? I no longer work for the employer who I took it through, and that scheme doesn't allow payments into it anymore. Also the pension scheme with my current employer doesn't accept transfers of protected rights pensions. I want to find a pension scheme that I can pay into, and transfer this other money into as well.

Any help, advice or assistance is greatly appreciated...

Probably best left where it is until you need to claim it. The other alternative is to speak to an ifa, which obviously isn't free and may put a dent in the pension pot.

There is no longer any such thing as Protected Rights and hasn't been for about a year. They are now just personal pension pots, nothing more, nothing less.

You can transfer to another pension (maybe via Cavendish) start a SIPP yourself, or ask your company about transferring your private pension to them.
