Please could anyone advise.
My Kindle is saying empty battery and yet will not charge.
I have looked up WHY on the web. It tells me that batteries can just go and will not recharge again. People are just buying another kindle if over a year old as the warranty has expired.
I have managed to get the back off my kindle and can see the battery is Li-ion polymer battery 3.7v. Colour black.
Can anyone advise where I could buy one?
I have looked on Amazon but could not see one the same.
Has anyone replaced there battery on a kindle?
Thank you for all advice.

I don't have a Kindle but I have used Amazon before and know they have good customer service. I'd email them or chat online/call them and ask them what to do as I'd have thought even if you could replace the battery, it wont be free. If I had this problem, I'd be contacting Amazon and asking them why this has happened rather then just what to do.0

It might be a bit difficult to persuade Amazon to help if you've had the back off, but if they can't help you'll find lots of help on the Kindle Discussion Board.

Hello and thank you for your replys.
I am now waiting for a new battry to arive v postie. I paid £12.35 for a new battery from a ebay shop. I hope it will fix the problem and cheaper than buying a new kindle. Fingers crossed. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0
