Evening all,
Just a question please.
As an undischarged bankrupt am I allowed to take out a gym subscription, I'm not sure whether its classed as credit & also will my BR status make a difference to the gym? Am I likely to be refused?
Hope you're all OK

I took out gym membership whilst BR without any problem.
The minimum term for mine was 6 months, so even if it was classed as credit, it would have been well under the £500.
Just had to ensure careful budgeting, as gym membership cannot be included as an allowable expense in IPA calculations.
Important to keep body and mind healthy during the BR process!

Agreed. I've joined a health and fitness club since ED recently, they don't even credit check you. They need your bank details for the direct debit and away you go. It's rare for a gym membership to be allowable on an SOA, but not unknown if there is a need rather than a want."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. Shouldn't be a problem. Shortly after my BR I upgraded my phone thus signing into a further 18 month agreement which technically took me over the £500 credit mark however at the time I didn't even think about it and thankfully all was paid and that was now long ago.
