Well done on the paint win Sylvia :T :j
That sounds promising ILC if they are delivering more paint than expected! I only won 40ml too but hoping they send more!I've noticed there's a big reduction in all the shops on Crown paints, maybe they have too much stock?
Congrats on your energy drinks win paadzer! :T You got a bargain at the bootie too
Bad start to the day for me so far.I went to put my washing out when it finally washed and as I started pegging it, the rain came down so brought it back in to put on radiators as it was kids uniforms. While I was putting on radiator I felt something behind me an thought it was the dog. I didn't realise I had kicked over a full big bottle of veg oil.
it was everywhere! I only opened it yesterday too and what a nightmare trying to clean it up! I was sliding all over and the floor is still greasy and slippy now! While trying to clean that I knocked over a jug of water that hubby had left on the table!
So I'm gonna hide myself in a cupboard and stay there till this kitchen is finished and I can move around the house safely!
Anyway. If anyone has any useful tips on how to get the slippy grease up off the floor I'd be grateful! Tried domestos and floor cleaner but it still Yukky!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

put salt on the grease to absorb it, the sweep it up, afterwords run a mop over it and you are done. this may use alot of salt but it works.

The cooking oil is hard to get up unless you use salt or cat litter. Spread the salt/cat litter on the oil then let it soak it up. Then sweep it up or vacuum it. If you aren't able to do this then use anti-grease dish soap and a lot of water and some towels to soak it up.
Instructions-
- 1 Sprinkle the puddle with a very generous amount of salt. (If you run out of salt, pour flour on the spill and mix before sweeping.)
- 2 Let it soak for a few minutes.
- 3 Sweep up the salt.
- 4 Clean the remaining film of oil with a few drops of dishwashing liquid and damp paper towels.
- 1 Sprinkle the puddle with a very generous amount of salt. (If you run out of salt, pour flour on the spill and mix before sweeping.)

Hope you get your mess sorted out Wingo - sorry but had to laugh at the idea of you slipping about on it. I have some of DD's uniform on the radiators too as although she has other stuff it has to certain cardigan etc.
Salt seems to be handy for so many things. If you get your mobile wet you are supposed to sit it in salt too.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

I guess the idea is to soak/mop up the oil and the abrasive action takes away the slippiness.
