Hello everyone.:)

I did it! Okay, so I didn't win but the standard was so high and everyone in the room had a deserving piece. All the way there I was like "Oh, I hope I'm not first!" Got there: "Oh, I think you're first!" :eek: Damn my name beginning with A!

Anyway, it was a fantastic experience and I managed to conquer my anxieties and managed to get up on stage, albeit with alot of wobbling and a walking stick! It was also awesome meeting Mark Grist who hosted it. If anyone's interested, Google 'Mark Grist Don't Flop' and you'll see what I mean.

On the downside, hubby was ill yesterday (he felt it brewing on Friday night) and I was worried we wouldn't be able to make it to the event but I said that if he couldn't make it, then it was okay and I didn't mind and I would try again next year. However, he managed to come because he wanted to support me and he really enjoyed it and Tim Clare (one of my fav poets and who was also on the judging panel) has a new fan because of it. Hubby feels better today, however, I am now coming down with the cold he had!
Yin and yang, I guess.

Glad your hubby feels better LadyM xx and hope you do too xx Big congrats on getting up on stage and I can imagine it must have been so nerve wracking going first too! I thought it was lovely what your DH said on your fb page :A

ILC, the mobile won't work! I've offered to hang it on the line to dry out but hubby not amused! (he needs a new one anyway!)

I havent done any dailies today fire**fly, only the John Frieda and tassimo.

Firefly - yes Celebrity Angels seems to be down on all of the comps, perhaps they will be back up tomorrow.

Katie - Glad you had a nice lunch with your parents and hope you enjoy the Karaoke.

Wingo - hope you manage to get out of the dog house soon have you tried taking sim and battery out and putting the phone in a warm place. My GD dropped hers down the toilet and managed to revive it when she knew she was not getting a new one.

iluvcats - Fred is on hotmail and it is a nightmare since it has changed. you either can't get it or it keeps going round in circles when you try to delete emails.

Lady M - You have showed such courage to get up on stage like that especially as your were the first one up. I know I couldn't do it thats for sure. Maybe try again next year if it is possible. Hope hubby is feeling better and hope you don't go down with it too.
