Why not ring up their helpline on behalf of a neighbour with a similar house (best seek his/her permission first) and clarify position on SPs. Then say you'll think it over & hang up.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

No - definitely not.
You need to clarify what's covered.
1) is damage to the panels covered for normal risks
eg: if your house burns down will they reinstate the panels?
2) will they cover damage or injury caused by falling panels?
For example -What if the panels blow off your roof during high winds and write off your neighbour's £50k car, or worse, injure or kill someone. You don't want to find out at that point that your insurer doesn't class solar panels as part of your building and won't cover you.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

I'm keen to follow this thread, as was just wondering how my, soon to be, new panels will effect my insurance. Thanks.0
