Engagement help!!

Hi all,

I am looking into getting engaged with my Girlfriend, we have not long been together (6 months...) but she has become Pregnant and i love her so much!.. I know you shouldn't get engaged on the idea just because she became pregnant but ive had many girlfriends in the past and ive not loved or cared for none as much as i do her. (Im 23) - Electrician.

So i was looking around in shops etc, and i found this one in Hsamuel

I then looked around and found one on EBAY from a store...

that one is 18ct white gold, 1 carat diamond... £1275



My question is, the one on eBay says it comes with all relevant papers and is also hallmarked.. has anyone ever bought of eBay for a engagement ring and if so was it ok... They say on there eBay site they offer full 30 day refunds, free delivery all the relevant documents etc etc..


My next question is, i measured her ring finger when she was asleep (Put some string around her finger, marked it with marker pen. Cut it and measured it with a ring measure) it came out roughly M/N...
Would i be better going bigger or smaller??


And finally, i know its bad asking for ideas of a forum but i not that romantic and wondering if anyone has any cool ideas how i can propose..

My idea was Write her a song, and then on the 5 month scan.. Take her out for a meal.. Get the restaurant to play the song in there music (Like randomly).. She hears it.. I propose BOOM.. i was thinking that was good but then im not sure i want to do something BIG!! and really romantic (But at a budget - as i spending most of the money i have on the ring!)

afraid i cant help on the ebay front but in regards to the ring size get the bigger size. she will probaly hold water when shes pregnant and her fingers may get bigger. also when she has had the baby she may find her fingers swell in warm weather, mine do anyhow and my wedding ring can be a bit tight.

i like the idea of the song/resturant idea. on saying that, think how she is on being the centre of attention. you'll be likely to have all the resturant guests watching and applauding - some people would love this, but it can be other peoples idea of hell.
