I just wanted to say thank you as since you all pointed out what I was doing wrong I've now managed to cut my daily comps by a whole hour per day! This will make a big difference

Never won from them but not really done them much so can't complain! I can only be bothered to do a few of the Woman's Weekly ones without the 5 yes/no questions. There are a handful of Marie Claire ones with organic type toiletries at the mo I would love so I am entering every now and again but on the whole I couldn't be bothered or have the time to do every comp from every mag daily, too dull as well!

I get put off if a comp allows more than one entry too! Why do allow this, anyone know? Is it just to get traffic to the site daily??

I share for the extra entries but use e-mail option and just use one of my other e-mail addresses and get the extra entries. I reckon you can probably put anything in the box though as occasionally I have pasted into the box and as I have pressed send noticed it was something random and not the intended e-mail address, still got the extra entry, must concentrate...

For Chat & Woman's Weekly where I can't share via e-mail, I share to Facebook but set to 'only me' then go in later to delete them all.

Since mid-January I enter loads most days as plenty of prizes I would like. So far just won a book (runner up prize where main prize was hotel vouchers) but I can't decide if it is meant to be I only need enter each draw once or I have to enter as many times as possible as statistically that will improve chance!!
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board

I won nothing on the daily mags for 5 months, then in January I won a weekend spa break from womans weekly & a toy from WOTV! I then won nothing in February ( from anywhere lol) but had 3 wins in march and they were all from the mag dailies! One from Marie claire, one from look and one that was spread across the magazines.

I would say its definitely worth entering and I only share via email occasionally on the 2 mags that only give you 6 entries.
Oh and I never do them everyday I would say 3 to 4 days a week on average.
2014 wins- Kindle Fire, French underwear, ICE cashmere hat & pen, chinese hamper, firepit & sausages, Michael Kors handbag,
  • I did have a sudden influx of prizes from the mags and won 7 things in 3 months from them, but have won nothing in 2013 as yet.

I enter everything I want to win from 11 mags and only really share if I need the extra entries. ATM that is just from Marie Claire as I entered 19 comps today. I mostly use twitter, but do share the odd comp on FB too just to up it quickly.

The mags would be the last thing I would drop if I didn't have time. In fact for the past week or so Ive not entered any actual normal comps, just my dailies.
Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:

I have only ever tried them once or twice. I think the odds are stacked against you.
  • how are you notified of a win? do they just send you the prize?
