there is prob more faeces on your moby phone than on your toilet seat!!:p

I get odd looks on the bus when I use a tissue to press the stop button.

I've seen people pick at their nose and ears then press the button

I "bus surf". I won't touch anything on it that joe public will have touched

Problem is if you do that too much you don't get the antibodies to fight germs. I've worked on public transport for 15 years and haven't had a bad cold or flu in that time. I sometimes eat on the hoof without washing my hands after having interacted with hundreds of passengers! Not ideal - I should wash my hands. But being exposed to germs builds up resistance to them.
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

I used to be a bus driver. Why would I touch a £5 note that I'd just watched someone take out of their mouth?

I work in a hospital where I see people coughing and spluttering everywhere. Right now, I am one of only two people in an office of 14 that hasn't ad the dreaded lurgy in the last couple of weeks.

I know what you mean by the immunity but I think I've been like it for so long now that I feel unclean if I don't do it

And yes, you should wash your hands!! :)

Few weeks ago I watched a woman have a good dig around in the ear with her index finger. She had a blatantly obvious infection.

She then went on to press the stop button with the same finger. Do I REALLY want my skin touching that after what I'd seen?

I always find it difficult when i've used public conveniences (without sitting on the seat, mind you, - hovering), and then washing my hands - then having to use the door handle! Argggh! You never know what germs might be on that door handle! So I have to go back and wash my hands, then the dilema again, - so, I end up using toilet tissue to grasp the handle to get out!:D
