As expected and well documented though the ginger shows as 3p paid on the receipt, yet oddly 4p on the APG ??

APG of £7.77, spend of £11.72

    Why £7.77?
    « Back to comparison results
10 items (6 different) on your bill qualify for comparison Sainsbury's
    +£6.83

    0.02 x ASDA Root Ginger by Weight (100g) £0.04 £0.04
    0.19 x ASDA Bananas by Weight (100g) £0.13 N/A
    0.12 x ASDA Carrots by Weight (100g) £0.11 £0.10
    0.05 x ASDA Mushrooms by Weight (100g) £0.13 £0.13
    0.13 x ASDA Onions by Weight (100g) £0.12 N/A
    4 x Pepsi (8x330ml) £14.00 £7.96
    2 x Fray Bentos Meatballs in Tomato Sauce (380g) £1.78 £1.00
    1 x Swizzels Matlow Strawberry Refresher Bar £0.10 N/A
    1 x Barratt Flumps Mallow Twists £0.10 £0.10

Comparison total (compared products only) £16.16 £9.33

Works out at 0.047p per can of Pepsi or 38p per 8 pack (I think)

Hi RootedNomad, I think it may have been me in search of an Aussie glitch and still looking lol.
    [...]

I'm back!! (Briefly, as very late!)
I might have guessed that my "biggest ever" Morries check would miss out the very items that might glitch:mad:. This time, I didn't get full details of the Aussies:o. There was a reason... the Aussies (whichever M has) are on '3 for £10', but if you are using A's '3 for £10' and need one item missing, I thought it wouldn't compare favourably when it sees full price on two bought. Compare vs full price at M, which is....?? No idea. However, if we're looking for glitch multibuy, it'd be pay 3 for £10, all three on comparison, but compares A's total of the single prices vs M's (or someone else's?) 3 for £10. Don't know if that can be found...and someone to nip into M to make sure the one (or more) items, all three appearing on MSM, are all comparable to M (and of course assumes the APG picks up the M price on all of them and recognises M's multibuy). Perhaps that potential 'long shot' was why I didn't think it worth taking the detail.

Sorry for this - I'm trying to quote someone's M comparison where they were saying hope this helps someone, and me to reply "And I wonder who that could be?:rotfl::rotfl:" - but you're all moving too fast for me, so the joke now falls flat.

Everytime I leave here, I think I've got to come back and make sure you don't miss some vital important piece of information. I forgot to do so on my last post - so here it is now - and, really, from me, that's it for tonight/this morning!!

The M equivalent to A's Antiseptic Disinfectant bottle that was on my last M list (page 124?) is still 80p in M. As I said earlier tonight (technically last night) many items have increased in price at M. But this is not one of them - it was also picked up (with M at 80p) on the APG itself last week.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Bye....:D

could someone please tell me how much the Jacob's Clubs work out at against T's please (sorry rubbish at maths, lol)
    TIA :-)

Don't think that the clubs are comparing to T's anymore, but think they are comparing to Sainsburys now.

Got more cheese yesterday to share with family. I got some brilliant news yesterday, Doc's thought I had cancer and sent me for emergancy scans but theyve come back clear :) Turns out I have multiple chronic fractures down my ribs, but I can deal with that :j

    Off to catch up now.

Fab news lilbert - though not so on the ribs, ouch

Thank you, he does love the cake :D Have not cut it yet, want to make sure my sis sees it first. He has been spoilt and has spent the morning with my Mum playing with all of his new toys having a great time :)

Afraid i'm on quite a downer though :( Went to hospital for chemo. Was all :j:j:j about it being last one, took card and chocs/hand cream for staff. But blood count was so low that consultant said I couldn't have chemo and have to go back next week. Immediately burst into tears and have been up and down since. Just feels like the goal posts have been moved bth_Smiley-Crying.gif Means as well that i'm basically stuck at home now for a fortnight instead of a week. Guess it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but i'm having an 'it's not fair' paddy about it :o

Anyway, best get off here and have a play with the boy :p Catch up later when hopefully i'll have pulled myself together :)

I'm not surprised you are having an 'it's not fair' paddy, coz it ain't fair hun   but you have got this far and another week is needed or the chemo won't work so sit back, relax and let that week roll by. Always thinking of you hun, :A :A
Yes you can...but it is packs of 8x330ml that you need not bottles. HTH.

Thanks guys, I lost signal after posting my question in Asda and went for two bottles of Pepsi Max in my 2 cheese shops, but not to worry as it compared 2 at £3 to S £3 even though I'd only paid £1 each so I reckon after my 10%, each bottle cost me 85p so that is ok

You really are not going to believe what happened today

    You're not

My brother felt ill during the night, went to docs this morning with angina pains and ended up being sent to hospital by ambulance   I spent the afternoon down there and went back this evening with some overnight things for him from his house. Luckily, if all goes well, he should be home tomorrow, but on additional medication and closer watch at docs, but it just goes to show, you can't relax as there is always something else ready to come out and bite ya :(:(

I am off to try to sleep now go night night everyone - sleep well

  • You'd be amazed at the birds we get in my garden here. We're on the edge of a national park plus this country is right where loads of overwintering birds head back north this time of year.

I should get to know their names a bit better.

Yesterday we had this strange little flock of birds eating something on one of my evergreens, reddish heads with a tuft, about the size of a starling but prettier, maybe 15 of them.

Then a couple of cute birds about the same size as a wren but in looks more like a pied wagtail without the long tail, eating something on one of my pear trees.

Loads of others such as woodpeckers incl some great big green fellers as well as the common ones.

All seem to be in a hurry to get the family going right now.

    A birder would love it.
  • Good morning btw. :D

i have no idea what we spend on food but it can't be very much yet we manage eat what we like and more importantly what is healthy. Eating healthily does limit the amount of glitch shopping we do but the chocolates etc are good to give away and you can never have too many cleaning/personal products:rotfl::rotfl:
