Have you got a large B&M's nearby? They had some in mine the other day much cheaper than B&Q, and also the Ronseal fence stain - think that was £4.99, much cheaper than anywhere else though.

Home bargains had some cheap fence stain 5.99 for 9L - not sure if they had green though, but worth a look.
