I just don't need alot, either that or years and years of hardly any sleep is normal to me now. I get about 5 hours a night and I never get tired during the day. Morning everyone
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Good morning all. I'm all caught up at last. It has taken ages, as I worked 5 night shifts, and life consists of work, travel, eat, shower, sleep, prep meals, clear up, then rinse and repeat.
I've skimmed a lot, so apologies for a period of lack of thanks. I must say a big thank you to the 'cheese czar' for finding the glitch. I managed to top up my cheese stash, and filled up with rice and yogurt, and managed to get a biccy supply for the males in the house ( told to report that the double Choc digestive are really tasty).
So sorry to hear about sd's cousins baby, so sad.
3Dogs, love the song choices for your Man's send off. You have had a rough time over the last year, so I hope things improve for you. You deserve a bit of happiness now.
For anyone else I've missed, sending hugs and good wishes.
We're on countdown for our holiday. Dh is like a kid at Christmas, he can't wait, and is counting off the days. Lots of work for me cos I do all the organising/booking, the packing, sort food for our boys/cats, make sure all the bills are paid, etc etc. He just packs his camera equipment, binoculars and laptop
Has anyone on here had experience of purple potatoes? I got some whoopsied ones, peeled and boiled them and they look awful, a sort of dirty, charcoal grey colour. Should I have done something different with them? I was going to mash them as I thought I would use them to top a cottage pie, but couldn't possibly do that as they look so nasty. Any ideas on what I could do with them please?
Well, I'm going back to bed for a while. I've been up in the night to make sure DS2 got up for his shift starting at 3am.. He was roped in to be baker for the day today, as one of the bakers went sick, and there was no one else to do it:eek: and it was supposed to be his day off today.
See you later
