Thanks for all of the hugs :A I do try to stay positive but today I feel like i've got an angel and a devil on each of my shoulders like in the cartoons :p One is saying 'of course everything will be fine, there is a 90% cure rate' etc the other is saying 'you beat the odds to get this in the first place, why wouldn't you be in the 10%'
I guess I've got to expect days like this. I've got plenty still to be thankful for and I need to concentrate on that :) The boys have been very cute today :D I have some lovely friends - I've put up all of the cards and messages i've received to remind myself of this. Equally importantly, in the Elite, I have found a place where I can come, day or night, to rant and rave and where people will listen (and I pick up bargains along the way ;))
On that note (thanks to rhosynbach) I am heading over to T.com then T&M to treat myself to some plants so that I have a lovely garden to enjoy WHEN i'm well in the summer :D
Love you guys post-3-1220648549.gif (getting soppy now :o)

Logie, you are so strong. :A Kick the !!!! out of that devil every time it dares to whisper in your ear. You are stronger than you will ever know, girl, and 90% is very good odds. (Boring former accountant, sorry :o). Nothing is going to go wrong tonight, so enjoy the moment and your lovely family. Tomorrow is another day, and it will be fine. Have a smashing evening :). xx
    Hope is not a strategy.

    Humour me here.

DD 8 has just realised that whilst m'dear wife has to fly back Tues, she's got me for the next 15 days along with 2 bros.

    Tears.

I like it out here lol. They have to fit in.

They also like it. When it's hot. Which it's not.

The best I can offer is treats and late nights before bed.

Not sure my presentational skills are up to this.

    Get lots of chock:rotfl:

She will have to be quick and she is everything in real life that comes across on here :A a lovely person

I am just doing a catch up and that is such a lovely thing to say. I sometimes skim read (shock, horror ) but always read TMs posts as they always seem so genuine, and funny at times.

  • 3Dogs, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss today. Words escape me and I don't think I could say anything better than all your friends on the Elite have already said.

I came across a poem yesterday which seemed to describe my relationship with my FIL to a tee. Perhaps you might take something from it too?

Feel no guilt in laughter, she'd know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that she’s not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever, she would not want you to.
She'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that she is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And she will live forever locked safely within your heart

Treats and late nights are worth a lot at that age. You'll have a blast. :D

Just had a tidy up in my "food stores", Walkers still holding up well, down to my last 3 boxes of MT, last 6 FF, last 2 Vinnies drums and last 4 Vinnies squares, a couple of LO'Bs (oh, and another 10 Easter eggs still to go after those demolished today ;) ). Freezer still has a fair few beef and pork joints (pork today was lovely, thank you Mr T). Kitchen cupboards are starting to have space as we are working through all the fillers, even my Flump store is looking a little on the low side :(.

I officially have room in there for another major glitch :).

    Happy Easter everyone!
