can i ask if it makes a difference with the gift aid please.

Yes, if at all possible, please gift aid, as if gets some money out of the goverment for the charity too, and costs no more.

    Some advice please.
I need to get one of the big bales of potting compost to start some seeds off. I usually get one of the biggest ones from b and q - think its something like 120 litres or such like - are these the best value.
I am so desperate to get some seeds started
If I need to get anything from b and q I usually got to sainsbobs first and get a gift card with my nectar points.
(Sadly I know nobody with an over 60s b and q card)
Now I am wondering if I go through topcash and order from b and q, collect in store but pay using the b and q gift card - is that possible?

I've also got love2 vouchers which I think you can use in homebase - is this right? I am wondering how much their bales are compared to b and q ? Our homebase is next to a waitrose so its a good excuse to pop in there as well.

We have close by Wilkinsons, B and M, Aldi and the full range of supermarkets to choose from.

My OH says why don't I just go and buy what I need like a normal person and I say there is always a deal to be had!
You don't need special compost for seeds, I was told by a gardner that ordinary composts can be too rich in nutrients for seeds, (unless its the type thats specially for seeds). You can use old compost thats already had something grown in it and mix with vermiculite, this is fine for seeds and cheaper than buying special compost :)

  • £3.00 - 33p(10% of 3.35) = £2.67

    £2.67 / 3 = 89p

    89p each

    Thank you.

Yes, they get an extra 25p for each £1 you donate, only tick if you are a tax payer though :D

thanks - are you able to confirm fillers used?

    I used 10xMullers, a banana and Stella ;).

APG came back at £11.50 which was more than I was expecting but I had forgotten about Stella being £2.98 more expensive £16.98 Av £14 S plus 10%.
