PPI after bankruptcy

Well, I would imagine the OP is being asked to sign forms giving the trustee authority to obtain information and investigate whether PPI might have been mis-sold, rather that an out and out declaration from the OP that they believe it was?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

quite possibly - but there is no asset unless it was actually mis-sold and anyone reclaiming PPI has to make a declaration as to how it was mis-sold;
It was not suitable because I was self employed and could not claim or the costs were not fully explained.............
Only the PPI purchaser can know the answer to these questions, not the OR.

Well, if they are being asked to sign a false declaration saying they believe it was mis-sold for x,y,z reasons, then I agree that the OP has every right refuse to sign that.

The forms received are PPI questionnaires, the last section does have a declaration which states that "I confirm I want to make a formal complaint about the sale of the payment protection insurance described in this questionnaire". Also most of the questions are already completed for me. All I have to do is sign the declaration.
I don't think that I will be doing so based on your advice, it would certainly be a false declaration as I was well aware of the PPI. I have myself prior to the bankruptcy made a successful ppi claim with egg and am aware of the reasons for the claim, none of which fit in this instance."The darkness has no answers"0 -
