Songs to sing in civil ceremony

Hi all, I'm looking for ideas. We'd like to have people singing in our civil ceremony, and are stuck for a second song. Our first is the Beatles' "All you need is love".
The difficulty is finding something else inclusive of everyone, like that one, and not a "just you and me are in love" song (like the Turtles' Me and You).
It also needs to be a little upbeat, but not too upbeat, and of course have no religious words in it at all. The only other one we've found so far is "Wonderful World", but it may be a little too slow.
It needs to be quite well known, so that people will find it easy to sing along to. Tough to find, and I'm all song'd out after a morning of looking, so I'm calling on MSEers for ideas!

I didn't know the song you mentioned (but then I don't really know many ssongs from that era) so I wouldn't worry, its like a church wedding where I hardly ever know the songs but just mumble along. Everyone will participate whatever level of the words they know.

We're trying to pick music for ours too Think it would be hilarious if we could get everyone singing 'Say a Little Prayer for You' like on My Best Friend's Wedding but sadly the word prayer is kind of in there alot haha. Also like Queen - You're My Best Friend.

Have you spoken to your registrar about what songs are allowed? Not all areas are as strict as others. Ours (Chester & West Cheshire) was really relaxed and said they've even had Ave Maria at civil weddings.

Poetry - check with your registrar, as ellay says, some places are more relaxed than others. Ours is quite strict, no Robbie Williams' Angels for instance!

Everyone else, keep 'em coming! Your fab suggestions are certainly providing inspiration, currently working my way through Stevie Wonder songs, though the current fave is Monkees' I'm a Believer. Well known, little bit more poppy, not too slushy
