Where can i get a cheap Dyson/Vacuum cleaner?

Options
Hi,

My mum's old Dyson as packed it in now...need a replacement.
Can anyone reccommend a good dyson for a good price, or another good one to replace this one.

Thanks,

:)

Rather than buy a new one, how about seeing if Dyson can repair it?

Our DC01 was on it's last legs (reduced suction, bits falling off all over it) and so I checked with Dyson to see what was covered by their service. It cost £55 and the machine works, and looks, like new.

Follow the appropiate link for your machine.

Failing that Empiredirect are usually competitive price-wise.

    Thanks guys,

Anyone else got any ideas as to alterntives to a dyson?

My mum doesnt like the fact that filters need to be changed every couple of months and that can get costly.

Any other machines that are as good as the dyson but do not have he same hassle with filters?

    Thanks.

    Hi

just as a matter of interest, alot of Dyson filters are now washable so you can reuse them once they're dry. (they have a tap printed on one side)
However, if she's after a new one much is going to depend on whether your Mum has carpets/hard floors to clean, what sort of weight machine she can cope with, any furry pets?
My Dyson DC01's days are numbered, but I refuse to part with it til I have to - it's brill for picking up dog hairs! I'm considering a Meile cat & dog vac, but they're dear.
