Continuing the critical illness / life assurance policies

Jamesd : The mortgage was part repayment and part endowment after we got an extension to the lease. I paid a good part off to get it back to the original endowment total and changed it so that we only aid the interest.
The policies are three fold, one in my name one in the wife's and a joint one. Both the wife's and mine are level term assurance policies with expiry dates of 2024. Both have death/ terminal benefits attached and both have critical illness benefits as well as premium waiver benefits.
The joint one is a Mortgage and Business cover term assurance policy.
Again the schedule states all three benefits apply. However the sum assured is for the hypothetical loan referred to in the policy provisions.

Please say more about the endowment policies. So far you haven't mentioned any insurance policy that appears from your description to be an endowment policy.0
