Just don't borrow from them again. I know it's tempting but you need to stay strong.

Even if you were never accepted for another wonga payday loan you could just use another company!

I don't think you can by the looks of it.

The only thing I can think of, if you have a partner (whom you trust completely) get them to change the password and don't tell you.

In reality though, you could just go to another payday loan company if you wanted....willpower is the answer.

Are you experiencing financial difficulties at this moment, if so, let us know, this board has many people who could advise you.

If you really do not wish them to lend to you again, then simply write to them and tell them that you are not of sound mind to eneter into a contract and that you wish them not to give you any more loans in the future on these grounds. Therefore if they ever did you'd have solid evidence that they were aware of your circumstances but lent to you anyway and I'm certain you could have the CCA void by a judge.
  • Use a random password generator, such as the one at https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm and pick say a 20 character string from this and change your password to it without taking note of it.

I suppose there is still the possibility in the future that you would be able to go Wonga's forgotten password process, but if you were that determined you would probably just open a new account anyway.

I'm not so sure that would work. Everybody would do that as a get-out-of-debt-free card and just hope that the lender misplaces the letter.

Pretty sure you'd need some kind of medical evidence confirming what you say. Maybe a psychiatrists letter would have that effect, but I doubt an individuals would.

Plus that wouldn't stop you borrowing from any of the other payday lenders.

WILLPOWER is the only solution here IMO.

Could you block the Wonga website on your pc and reject any emails from them?
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
  • Get someone you trust to make a new e-mail account and change the password to something they know, that way you can't even use the forgot password.

Saying that there is a chance you could just go to another PDL site. Maybe get someone to install a filter blocking all known PDL sites?

And if not a PDL site, then some other creditor, or maybe a loan shark.

Let's be honest; the only way to stop getting into another mess is to exercise some control and not to borrow unnecessarily.
