A second income working as a private tutor

Options
Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience of working as a tutor as a second source of income.

Currently I'm working as a web developer so my expertise is on programming and creating websites. I have two years experience in this job and the money is ok but I would like a second income to maximise my earnings.

The thing is I don't have many ideas on how to advertise my services. I put an ad on gumtree and I will be finishing my personal website soon. A friend did suggest advertising to student in University but are there not rules for doing that?

So does anyone have any tips or advice?:)

Nick

If someone were looking for a web developer like you, where would they look, or what would they do?

I am thinking of doing the same myself. All I have done is create some simple flyers which I intend to put in local shop windows and libraries and see if that raises any interest x
