Replacing the taps when they're round the back

We have one of those stupid baths where the taps are central and round the back of the bath.
It was there when we moved in and I've never liked it but we can't afford to change it but the mixer tap is worn out and need to be replaced. The question is, how to access the taps when they are round the back of the bath and not at one end (as is conventional)?

I'm trying to visulize what you mean. If you could post a photo that would help. Just of the top of my head would it be possible to lower the feet on the bath and may be pull the bath out slightly to gain access. Although this might need the bath seal replaceing. Is it a fibreglass bath or cast iron?If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0

bath out if you have no access at either end to get to the taps, or if it's along side an internal wall then a hole through from the other side, which is the reason i never fit taps in that postionI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

When you say the mixer tap is worn out, what do you exactly mean.If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0

Well the handle that turns it from the tap to the shower is seized, the gold is worn off and if there is any way short of demolishing the house around the darn thing, I'd quite like something that isn't so Victorian.
I've a horrible feeling all this is leading towards a new bathroom..."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Nice pic. Have you had the fornt panel off yet?If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.0

No but presumably there will be a bath in the way of the taps."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

you may be able to get new inners, like i said if they really need replacing it's bath out time & some re-tiling as well at least on the back & one if not both side walls along the bathI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

I had a really horrible feeling you were going to say that."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
